Sunset on Lý Sơn Island

SMOKY, SALTY, BRINY, FRUIT-INFUSED DELICACIES FROM VIETNAM’S MANY ISLANDS

Dotting the wide Eastern Sea, Vietnam’s islands cradle quiet fishing villages whose boats stir at dawn to gather the sea’s bounty. As the sun sinks into the waves, hungry crowds surge to sample the vendors lining the docks where charcoal grilled delights are roasted straight out of the nets.

Chef Thư & her partner Taylor spent many happy years sampling the delicacies found across the islands of Vietnam’s coastline and have prepared an eclectic tasting menu of rare regional delicacies. Expect briny, smoky, salty, tropical-fruit infused fare paired with exciting cocktails.

After six sold out events at the Knife Factory in Brooklyn, Ăn Cỗ is now expanding to a full week-long residency at the WSA Test Kitchen in FiDi. Expect the same unapologetically Viet vibes in an all-new venue.

A FISHERMAN’S FEAST - BÚN QUẬY

When traveling across Vietnam’s islands together, Taylor & Thu got to sample a local fisherman favorite - the hand stirred noodle soup. Since there is only enough room for a single pot on the boat, they will keep a hot pork broth boiling, directly add the noodles to cook, and slice whatever fresh catch they hauled in to make a seafood feast in a bowl.

Special Music Performance: Hien
On August 6th, we are excited to feature a special performance by Hien - a Budapest-born Vietnamese singer/producer/sound-designer based in Brooklyn. Enjoy a blend of soulful vocals, ethereal electronic beats, and a reimagining of Viet bolero music for Ăn Cỗ (limited seats).

The event was held at WSA’s Test Kitchen in New York City.
